Vendor Recommendations

Photography - There are so many incredible photographers in the Flathead Valley and my list of photographers would be too long. Choosing the right photographer depends on your aesthetic. I’ve worked with quite a few, so feel free to reach out before you finalize your booking if you’d like feedback on anyone in particular!

Planner

Catering

• Cartwright Catering - (see here) you absolutely have to try their spaghetti squash side dish- trust me, all wedding guests who have ever tried it walk away raving.

• S&M Catering (see here) The catering is done by a Cordon Bleu chef AND they give a $2 per head discount to Somers Mansion couples. Especially good for beautiful buffet dinners (and there’s always tons of leftovers).

• The Silk Road (here) - delicious options and they offer plated meals (and family style!). They’re based out of Missoula but do hundreds of events every summer all over NW Montana, so they’re pros.

• The Chef Guys (here) - ask them to make blackened steak with Huckleberry roulade. yumm. Ideal for groups under 100 but really delicious and high end.

Bar Service (as we are private property, you can serve yourself, but we require alcohol servers to be TIPS certified. You cannot have guests buy their own alcohol, so must be an open bar. Typically if you are hiring a bar service they will be fully equipped with certifications)

• Glacier Perks (see here) yes it’s a coffee shop but they also provide bar service and have a little converted trailer mobile bar!

• Hold My Bar is a great nonalcoholic bar service. (See here)

• Want family or friends bartending? We require the tenders to be 18+ and TIPS Certified. The TIPS Certification is $38 and only takes about 2-3 hours of an online course (it also lasts 3 years).

• Go kayaking around Somers bay (10 min walk from the Mansion) or drive down to Lakeside to get in the Lake with See Me Paddle.

• Need some coffee to fuel set up or tear down? (Check out the mobile barista- she’ll come to you! Cup of Jo)

Where should our guests stay?

• Somers has several cute Airbnbs and VRBOs- encourage guests to stay and support local!

• The Best Western - Flathead Lake is the closest hotel, and they’ll offer a 12% discount on hotel blocks for couples staying at the Mansion.
